In 2011, Boys Hope Girls Hope was the subject of an intensive, six-month study conducted by the Educational Policy Institute (EPI), a major Washington research thinktank that advises our national legislators on educational policy, and makes recommendations based on best practices.
The study focused on independent, private outreach programs that work on getting children from disadvantaged backgrounds through college. Over 1,100 programs nationwide were considered.
Their conclusion? Boys Hope Girls Hope works. Now, children’s services agencies across the United States will be able to learn, in detail, how Boys Hope Girls Hope empowers our scholars; how we break the vicious circle of poverty and illiteracy; and how we inspire our scholars with the will to give back and serve others. So can you.
