Application Process
The first step is to contact Boys Hope Girls Hope to arrange a phone interview with the referral agent, Program Director, the child and his/her family.

Following a successful interview, the following materials are submitted to Boys Hope Girls Hope by the child's parents/guardians:

  • Application
  • Academic Record & Immunizations
  • Letter from the child to Board requesting consideration.
  • Proof of U.S. citizenship or legal residence.

Once the completed application has been received by Boys Hope Girls Hope, the Program Director will review the application and if the applicant meets the BHGH criteria, arrangements will be made for:

  • Visit by student & family to the program
  • Candidate must come for a 3-day visit
  • Family visit for dinner in the home
  • Psychological/Academic Testing

Following testing & visit, the Program Committee of the Board of Directors determines a student's acceptance into the program. The entire application process takes approximately 4-6 months.
