What is the mission of Boys Hope Girls Hope?
Boys Hope Girls Hope helps children who are hurt and at-risk, yet academically capable, to realize their full potential by providing value centered, family-like homes and quality education through college.

How does Boys Hope Girls Hope of Colorado fulfill its mission?
Specifically, Boys Hope Girls Hope provides youths with long-term care within non-institutional homes staffed with live-in residential counselors who challenge its scholars to live up to their potential while developing a strong spiritual and moral foundation.

What is the philosophy behind the Boys Hope Girls Hope of Colorado program?
A long-term nurturing home environment and an excellent education are the primary tools required to break the cycle of poverty, abuse and neglect.

Why do you only serve boys and young men at this time?  
Boys Hope Girls Hope of Colorado, currently has a program for boys and young men.   A program for girls is being developed as fundraising is undertaken to support two homes.  

How does Boys Hope Girls Hope of Colorado get its funding?
Boys Hope Girls Hope of Colorado depends solely on private contributions from individuals, foundations and corporations.   We do not seek any government money.  

Why do children come to Boys Hope Girls Hope of Colorado?
These children and young adults are academically capable but unable to succeed in school because of some factor either in their home or in their neighborhood.  

How do I know if Boys Hope Girls Hope of Colorado might be a program for a child I know?  
The following are benchmarks for knowing whether a child is a candidate for Boys Hope Girls Hope of Colorado:  
•  Possess above average intelligence
•  Be free from learning disabilities
•  Be between the ages of 10 and 14
•  Be free from serious emotional or behavioral problems
•  Need long term placement away from the natural family

Where is the Boys Hope Girls Hope of Colorado home located?
The Boys Hope home is located in Foxfield, Colorado in the South Metro Denver area.

Where do the scholars go to school?
Currently, the scholars go to St. Pius X Catholic Elementary School and Regis Jesuit High School.

Does a scholar need to be Catholic?
No, Boys Hope Girls Hope is a multi-denominational organization.   Scholars come from a variety of religious backgrounds.   T hrough a commitment to justice and love for all Boys Hope Girls Hope challenges children to mature as "persons for others," individuals who are able to define success by their service to God and their community.

Who can recommend a scholar for Boys Hope Girls Hope of Colorado?
Anyone can refer a student who has exhibited the qualifications of a candidate to the Program. Referrals usually come frequently from principals, teachers, parents and social workers.
