Volunteers
Boys Hope Girls Hope would not be successful without the support of volunteers who share our vision of empowering children to overcome their circumstances.
Our volunteers use their time, talents, expertise, skills, and life experience to help our children realize their potential. Most importantly, they serve as role models. They show our children the value of altruism in action. They model a life lived for others.

Service
Boys Hope Girls Hope has been a proud partner of the Federal AmeriCorps Program since 1997.
AmeriCorps members serve as:
COMMUNITY RESOURCE COORDINATORS
Community Resource Coordinators work with Affiliate staff to connect with the community and provide scholars with access to a variety of resources. Members perform community outreach through presentations, information sessions and making connections while also supporting the local volunteer program by recruiting, screening, training and managing volunteers with a particular focus on mentor recruitment.
ACADEMIC SUCCESS CORPS MEMBERS
Academic Success Corps members live and work with the youth they serve. The focus of the Corps is on educational support and academic success. Members help with instructional support (tutoring, collaborating with tutors, and developing and monitoring academic improvement plans), create stronger bonds with schools (attending parent/teacher meetings, open houses, communicating with teachers on a regular basis), and promote intellectual enrichment (planning essential experiences, implementing community service activities).
Candidates must be at least 21 years of age and have a Bachelors’ degree or possess a high school diploma and have at least two years' experience working with youth in an educational setting. Applicants must also be willing to reside in the home, commit to a year of service and possess a valid driver’s license.
