Boys Hope Girls Hope is proud to partner with AmeriCorps in bringing the gifts and enthusiasm of its members to children-in-need throughout the country. AmeriCorps members have the opportunity to spend their term of service in one of our homes providing direct care to the scholars or gaining valuable experience in community outreach as a Community Resource Coordinator. Everyone who commits a year of service to Boys Hope Girls Hope can expect to:
- Interact with other staff and scholars in ways (ex. meeting challenges together, participating in fun activities) that lead to the development of life-long relationships. Be part of a nationwide network of professionals and volunteers dedicated to meeting each scholar’s social, physical, intellectual, emotional and spiritual needs. Develop their professional skills through on-going training in a comprehensive residential service model.
- Play a significant role in helping children-in-need reach their full potential.
Community Resource Coordinator
- Serve as a key staff member of our Links Community Networking and Mentorship Project. Match scholars with community volunteers who will provide mentorship or become involved in other ways to help Boys Hope Girls Hope scholars reach their full potential.
- Complete a professional portfolio that documents contributions to the projects overall progress in addition to professional growth.
