Boys Hope Girls Hope's effectiveness relies on our volunteers-- dedicated community members who help our scholars with homework each week, refurbish our homes, bake birthday cakes, or plan a beautiful event.
Below is a list of the ways to volunteer with Boys Hope Girls Hope. Please reach out to the office to discuss your volunteer opportunity!
Volunteer Dinner and Breakfast Parents deliver fresh, home-cooked meals to our Boys Hope and Girls Hope homes nearly every night of the week! Typically, dinner parent volunteers sign up to cook for one home, once a month.
A Special Events Volunteer is anyone who serves on one of our special events committees or volunteers to lend a hand on the day of an event. Our five annual events are Reveillon, Crescent City Classic10k, Golf Tournament, Fall Gala, Tennis Tournament.
A Tutor Volunteer assists scholars with their homework for 2 hours, one night a week. Tutors provide support during critical study times, enabling our scholars to have success in school. A Tutor Volunteer commitment lasts at least 1 semester.
A Youth Volunteer is anyone who works directly with the children, either one-on-one or in groups. Examples include mentors, babysitters, respite providers, field trip chaperones, etc.
Coordinate a Group Service Project with your coworkers to help refurbish the BHGH homes.
