A letter from the Executive Director
I would like to take the time to share with you a special Valentine's Day THANK YOU from our scholars at Boys Hope Girls Hope! Not much warms my heart as much as seeing the community of tutors, mentors, cooks, committee members, board members, and thoughtful neighbors coming together to share the work of raising the next generation of learners in our midst.
Our scholars are busy as can be and work very hard every day to reach their potential as high achievers. In our residence the boys are maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.3!
Jimmie and Deion are daily running to the mailbox in anticipation of their college acceptance letters! We look forward to celebrating their accomplishments at our upcoming Growing Hope Graduation Gala.
At Hope Academy for Girls we are seeing steady improvement after our first months in business! The room is filled with girls for 15-20 hours a week. We are already seeing improvement in study habits and comprehension of the subjects they are studying. Our first "Super Saturday of Service" was at Portsmouth Square! We helped alongside other agencies to keep our city clean!
Thank you again from our hearts to yours!
